Sample Recipe - Hot Fudge Cake

This is a chocolate lovers dream! Warm, liquid chocolate served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Time: 15 minutes

  • 4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate morsels
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 egg yolks

To Prepare:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350º.
  2. Melt the chocolate in a medium bowl over a saucepan of simmering but not boiling water.
  3. Allow to cool slightly then add the remaining ingredients, whisking until smooth.
  4. Butter and flour individual ramekins.
  5. Pour batter to fill to two-thirds full.
  6. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
  7. The centers should still be soft.
  8. Allow to rest in the ramekins for five minutes.

Serves four
